While BlackBerry does a great job making a device dedicated for e-mail, there are still device capabilities that don’t come natively. As such, a list of sites, apps, and tips are included below:
WEBSITES
Opera Mini View websites like they are supposed to be viewed. While the BlackBerry Browser works, it leaves much to be desired. This web browsing program views webpages in a zoomed out view and displays a zooming rectangle that can be used to zoom in on the specified area of the website.
Windows Live Get directory information, directions, maps, traffic and movie times through your phone in an easy to use, integrated system.

Facebook Being connected is probably the reason you got a BB in the first place. This app allows you to log in to your Facebook account and view manage your account and see the latest updates. The newest version even allows you to integrate your Facebook Phonebook with your Contacts on your device.

TIPS
Turn off Email Receipts/Confirmations One of the more annoying aspects of BlackBerrys is the built-in tendency to request receipts for e-mail delivery. While, sure, it’s great to know if a vital e-mail went through, I haven’t had a message NOT go through yet. If you are confident in the delivery system and want to eliminate the clutter of the receipts, you can turn them off by doing the following:
1. Go to the icon for your email account on your BlackBerry.
2. Click on ‘Options’.
3. Click on ‘Email Settings’
4. Click on the settings you want (i.e. read receipts, delivery receipts, etc.)
5. Save your settings. 
Turn Off Service Provider Email Signature
Another annoying aspect of using BlackBerry Internet Service is that the service provider advertises their service in your e-mail by putting “Sent by SERVICE PROVIDER for BlackBerry”. While it does alert the recipient that it was sent using a portable device and that the brevity of the message was most likely due to this fact, it looks cheap. If you want to turn this off, do the following:
1. Log in to your BlackBerry account online. The sites vary, but you can find them easily by googling ‘SERVICE_PROVIDER blackberry internet’ (replace SERVICE_PROVIDER with the name of you carrier, such as AT&T, Verizon, Nextel, Sprint, etc.). One of the first results will be a heading for ‘BlackBerry Internet Service’.
2. Once you log in, you can delete the signature that is there, as well as set up a custom signature by clicking on the appropriate e-mail account. You can also setup additional e-mail accounts here.
